After visiting the nagara Shivappa nayaka fort, we have been to chakra reservoir, which is one of the water source for linganamakki dam, River sharavathi is the mother for this belt, we have spoken to the security and they shared that many of the regional film's were shooting regularly, securities are friendly :-) unfortunately they don't have better shelter at least to secure from rain ! visiting vehicle numbers will be noted to control illegal activities, there are wild animals in these reservoirs area, we have seen one dead cow attacked by leopard, from chakra dam we can see kodachadri hills in summer season. Complete area looks as no mans land, mixture of greenery and wonderful landscapes completed the camera buffet. We moved towards savehaklu dam.

No permission to visit the dam, however the security will note-down the every vehicle number both in Chakra dam and Savehaklu dam.

ReplyDeleteI stayed in Chakra nagar for 5 years from 1987 to 1992..and we used to visit Chakra Dam regularly..Thanks for the great pics..My childhood memories just became alive..
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place admist mountains, full security and facilities..Now that temporary township is gone after the power project got completed..
