Mandalpatti OR Mugilu pete, Madikeri District, Karnataka

Gaalipata a Kannada film was shoot at this place. It’s a winter we were not expected that we would see some greenery around Mandalpatti but we were not much disappointed and we were really excited in the evening lights and sunset. We had been to this place by walking the complete 5km from mandalpatti start gate.

Mandalpatti located around 18 km away from Madikeri, the road to mandalpatti is on the way to Abbi falls, once you started to travel on the way to Abbi falls road, you will see the road direction to mandalpatti, left deviation for Abbi falls and right deviation for mandalpatti, once you reach the mandalpatti gate you have to park your vehicle OR you have to take a ticket to your vehicle to reach mandalpatti Point, but the road condition is not so good to take non-utility vehicle, also you can hire a jeep to reach the mandalpatti point (Rs 600 -/- for up and down), we have parked our vehicle nearby and started to trek to reach mandalpatti point, of course we are trekking enthusiast, on the way we have tried to capture some macro shots, while passing nearby a pond we have seen elephant scat ! I appreciate Madikeri is a tourist place but it doesn’t make sense that they are charging fee at mandalpatti point even though you have paid for your vehicle as a ticket or you hired a jeep !

Sun is getting red we were prepared to take some good snaps of sunset, we are really surprised and satisfied as an amateur photographers and I would say mandallpatti made our trip as complete and a perfect end for a fantastic day.

How to reach mandalpatti

From Madikeri just pass on Abbi falls road for a kilometer you will see the two deviation and the right one will take you to Mandalpatti.

Joida, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka

Blog writing is became an hobby for me, where ever I go I could catch some best snaps and write it in my blog and this is useful when I am asking myself a question why I had been to those places, I have been to Joida taluk on the way to Dandeli, Joida taluk is in Uttara kannada district of Karnataka, 90% of the total area of this taluk covered by Kali river forest (Anshi National forest) this forest provides habitat for india’s most rarest animals and birds, Seems the paddy is the major agricultural output from this area, as a taluk place i never see well boarding facility or the best hotel, i like the way these places are still, where these places are doesn’t have touch to modernization. We were stayed at William’s homestay at Joida quite a good hospitality.
Joida is 25 Km away from Dandeli taluk and 95 Km from Hubli, Most of the visiting places are much nearer to Dandeli so could be the reason that this place is isolated.

Londa, Khanapur, Belgaum, Karnataka, India

Londa which belongs to khanapura taluk of Belgaum district of Karnataka. We had a chance to visit this place while we were going to Dudhsagar, we were planned to go Dudhsagar by train via Londa and the train schedule at 11:00 AM morning, we were stayed in Ramanagar which is 3 KM away from Londa, we had our breakfast as Dosa and Vada pav I still remember the taste of Vada Pav of Konkan side of Karnataka and Goa, we were walked in Ramanagar to spend the time, still we have another 2 Hours to catch the train, we decided to go Londa by walking the 3 KM distance, that was a pleasant morning sun lights are struggling to illuminate the ground through moist trees, there were plenty of greenery, people presence was very little, only vehicles making sound every ware, on the way we have enjoyed the calm and pleasant  nature, the experience  was just like a baby in the cradle smiles more when looking at the loving faces. We have pass the bridge where we seen the beautiful river crossing the Ghats, a railway track which is visible from the road asking us to take the en-route, these places are completely off from the City crowd, we have managed to catch some shots on the way. Londa a place where we can find many places which is suitable for trekking, every tourist been to londa on the way, but I am not sure how many of them are remembering these places.
