Kalasa Temple, Mudigere, Chikmagalur

Kalasa comes in mudigere taluk of chikkamagaluru district, kalasa is a common point to horanadu, kudremukh, and places towards Mangalore. Kalasa is a hilly region with abundant of greenery. There are few good hotels are there in kalasa. Kalasa name emerged from the God Kalaseshwara, Kalaseshwara temple located in the heart of the Kalasa city, this temple present in a small hilly area, one can see a magnificent view from top of the temple. Kalaseshwara temple is having a idol of shiva including few other small temples with proper route map to the nearby temples. This temple belongs to Muzrai department of karnataka state government. Kudremukh national park, kudremukh, Karnataka

This is one of my best experience on traveling to Kudremukh via karkala - kudremukha highway, it was a heavy rain on last night and morning presented with magical sunlight's which is hardly illuminating between the trees. All of the shots were taken in the moving vehicle that could have some less details. Kudremukh National forest spreaded through Chickmagalur, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. After finishing the breakfast at bajagoli we have started traveling towards Kudremukh, the roads are fine and butter smooth, on the way we can see the group of monkey's sitting on the road and driving on these areas should be slow at 40 KM/ hour to save the wild animals which are wandering on the road. a continuous rain in a week tends to make some green paint to the environment, an every second you will turn your head to watch the beauty of the nature and become curious to catch the shots. On the way you will see the few temples and Gangamoola a originating place of 3 rivers (Tunga, Bhadra, Netravethi). Tourist visiting to the Lakhya dam is been prohibited since from last October 2014 due to some security reasons, we had the same journey in the month of September 2014 and we have visited Lakhya dam with the best shots. One will enjoy the beauty of the nature if he will start to travel in the morning on this road, unfortunately we didn't gave any stop on this road due to lack of time. I am sure i will travel again on this route to visit some of the remote places nearby kudremukh.
