Krishnana Katte (Krishnaiahna Katte reservoir), Yelandur Taluk, Chamarajanagara, Karnataka

It was around 4:00 PM, after visiting the MMhills and BR Hills we headed towards Chamarajanagar via Yelandur to stay. Fortunately on the way we seen a small Dam called Krishnana Katte OR Krishnayyana katte, hoping to have good scenery but we were not disappointed, mountain makes a clear line around Krishnaiahna katte creating a well-balanced Ecosystem, this dam holds a few gallons of water to facilitate rural side of yelandur taluk and the forest animals. People nearby village shared that Elephants are usually seen in a herd. But we were not lucky! For the day to see one of that. Whatever this place is a sudden surprise for us to end the jolly ride day.

After getting down from BR Hills take left diversion towards yelandur, after a few kms you will see this Reservoir on left side of the road.

Biligiri Ranganatha swamy Betta (ಬಿಳಿಗಿರಿರಂಗನ ಬೆಟ್ಟ) OR Biligiriranga Hills

It was a Mid-day at MM Hills and we started towards Biligiri Ranganatha swamy Betta which is situated in Yelandur Taluk of Chamarajanagara Disitrict, it’s approximately 110 KM from MM hills to BR Hills via Kollegala towards yelandur road. Black cloudy sky promises for heavy rain, our enthusiasm and greenery pushes the limit to throttle, taking the advantage of moist air we doubled the speed to hit the top of BR Hills in a quick time, surprised and more surprised with the black cloud and beautiful greenery around BR Hills, we have visited Ranganatha swamy and Alamelamma temple and opened our gears to shoot at quick speed. Spent an hour at BR Hills and we started our journey towards Chamarajanagar via yelandur route.

From Kollegala travel towards chamarajanagar Route after 8 Kms ask any villagers to get the shortest route to BR hills, on the way you will see the road direction to BR hills.

Male Mahadeshwara Betta (MM Hills), Kollegala Taluk, Chamarajanagara District, Karnataka

A momentum was started in our mind to travel MM Hills, thought to visit the temple and to have good photos of lord Shiva’s own place, once again we have enough time to spend for photography by motor bike traveling, and it’s a 210 KM from Bangalore.

We started around 5:30 AM morning and reached MM Hills around 11:30 AM after all those stops for good photos, rainy season makes perfect colors to the environment.

Mahadeshwara temple managed by Karnataka Government under the Muzrai Department. Temple area is maintained as dust free ! cement roads are properly constructed and maintained. Anna Dsasoha is provided under temple management.

As I said above rainy season made a perfect buffet for a camera enthusiast’s and a beautiful day at MM mountains.
