Nanya Bairaveshwara temple, bairapura, mudigere, chikmagalur

Nanya Bairaveshwara temple located in bairapura village near mudigere Taluk. The complete area belongs to Forest Department however human path is is visible all around. This Temple is the starting point for ettina Bhuja, a peak mountain located in western ghat. A statutory board from Forest Department can be visible before entering into the forest. Calm and less human intervention where nature presented this beautiful place in its own structure. And more on that we can see many places like this in Karnataka including Shimoga district and Uttara Kannada.

I have taken few sample photos to showcase the bairaveshwara temple.

Hindlumane Falls near kodachadri, Hosanagara, Shimoga, karnataka

It is a 3rd day, after visiting the Jog falls, linganamakki, Hosagunda, and Sigandur Back waters, it's time to move towards kodachadri.
We started from Bedara koppa where we stayed then moved towards Tumari and reached Harige. We had breakfast at Harige then reached Nitturu, roads are pathetic to drive and even worse near nittur, this took more than a hour to travel 35 km distance.
From nittur we traveled towards kattinahole road once again the roads are worst, magic of the nature with abundant greenery and lots of small water falls providing immense enthusiasm to reach the target. After a few km we reached a small circle and a school nearby, we took right turn towards Hindlumane Falls, traveled 3 km and reached a house at dead-end. We parked our vehicle and started to shoot as much as possible, Hindlumane falls located just behind the farming land which is nearby house. We spent a few minutes at falls and back to the nearby house and had some food, then started our journey towards kodachadri for that we need to travel up-to kattinahole.

Traveling Route :
1. Shimoga - Hosanagara - Nagara -Kattinahole - Hindlumane Falls
2. Shimoga - Hosanagara - Nittur - Hindlumane Falls

Kodachadri, Hosanagara taluk, Shimoga, Karnataka

After visiting the Hindlumane falls and Hanging Bridge at nittur we headed towards kodachadri, a 20 km distance feel like a 100 km, again to say roads are pathetic to travel, this road ends at katiinahole which is the starting point for Kodachadri, there is finest road to reach Kattinahole that is from " Nagara " a hobli place comes in HOSANAGARA Taluk of Shimoga.
From Kattinahole there were lot more Mahindra JEEPS are traveling to Kodachadri, 1600 -/- Rs per jeep for up and down, if you will see the driving nature and the vehicle maintenance cost then 1600-/- doesn't matter at all... two wheeler is impossible on this road, only challenging utility vehicle can go to the top of the Kodachadri, two wheeler can be ride only in summer, better you pack your camera kits until you reach the top of the Kodachadri other wise it would be vulnerable to the road condition. Jeeps will go until to the Guest house, from there it will be 2 km walk, there is a Ganapathi Guhe, Sri Bhadrakali temple and Shankara Peeta at the top of the Kodachadri.
Kodachadri mountains is a place for rare animals, birds and plants including the algae and parasitic plants a lot more macro level photography can be done if one should travel on end of the August, on the way we can see the herd of Bison, Deer, it is a perfect biodiversity too, all and all it is a cumbersome experience for us because we went in a monsoon season. End of August and September will be the suitable time to visit the kodachadri mountains. It's evening around 6:00 PM we traveled towards Hosanagara via Nagara from sampekatte to kollur road.

Traveling Route :
1. Shimoga - Hosanagara - Nagara -Kattinahole - Kodachadri
2. Shimoga - Hosanagara - Nittur - Kattinahole - Kodachadri
3. Shimoga - sagara - Sigandur - Tumari - Harige - Nittur - kodachadri
Note : 1st one will be the best route compare to 2nd one.
From 3rd route you can cover the Nittur hanging bridge, Hindlumane falls, Ennehole Falls then you will reach kodachadri, but the road is pathetic to travel.
